Circular design plays a central role on the way to a viable circular economy. In order to provide actors in the product development process with a simple set of rules for the design of circular products, the Institute of Design Research Vienna has developed the Circular Design Rules.

Tools for the Design Revolution empowers designers with innovative resources to create sustainable, impactful solutions. It provides strategies, techniques, and technologies to drive positive change, enabling a shift towards more ethical, regenerative, and responsible design practices.

Design History explores the evolution of design across time, highlighting key movements, styles, and innovators. It examines how social, cultural, and technological changes have shaped design practices, providing valuable insights into the past to inspire the future of design.

(3.12) IMAGINE: Coral Reef. Regenerative Design in Berlin

As part of the discursive platform "More Than Human", two projects will be launched at the Berlin Museum of Decorative Arts: The two-part experimental exhibition "Imagine Coral Reef. Regenerative Design" is dedicated to the complex ecosystems of corals and uses them to develop guidelines for a regenerative design culture of the future.At the same time, the newly established "Speculative Wunderkammer" shows objects from the collections of the Kunstgewerbemuseum with loans as well as contemporary design projects and artistic interventions.
