As part of the research accompanying the exhibition “Imagine Coral Reef. Regenerative Design.” the Institute of Design Research Vienna (IDRV) has developed “rules of the game” for regenerative design. Based on the considerations of the German biologist and philosopher Andreas Weber (*1967), the guidelines for mutual productivity in nature described in his book “Enlivenment” become the starting point for seven principles in design. These are summarized in a manifesto, the “Coral Reef Regenerative Design Principles (V1.0)”.
