Following last year’s success of the module “Sudeco… for sustainable design and communication strategies” at the Department for Spatial and Sustainable Design at the Technical University Vienna, this year’s summer term Harald Gruendl again will be co-supervisor in the workshop.

This time the module will emphasize on the important role of future designers as agents to trigger a changeover towards a sustainable consumer culture and living environment. The course is based on the following assumptions: the increasing technologization will lead to an impact of consumers on design. Sustainable Design is not only about the life-cycle assessment of projects, but also keeps an eye on the social impact of design. Product related ideas of innovation are more and more replaced by systemic solutions of innovation.
