MAK DESIGN SPACE and MAK Columned Main Hall
How can design contribute to maximize the potentials of refugees in terms of integration and jobs? Since the end of June, the topic of INCLUSION has been the subject of research, work, thought, networking, and inquiry in the StadtFabrik.
In dealing with this topic, the StadtFabrik presented the results of the workshop and research during the Mak design nite in the context of the Vienna Design Week. As demonstrator of a cash-free economy for the common good a shop street by EOOS, part of their contribution to the “Social Furniture Collection” at the Venice Architecture Biennale, was relocated from a Caritas-run asylum quarter into the context of the museum . A Wiener, halal! – an art project and sausage booth combined with halal preparation – was nominated as changemaker and could be tested on site.
