Harald Gruendl (Dr. phil. habil) is a designer, design theorist, and curator. He is a partner at EOOS Design, co-managing director of EOOS’s social enterprise, and leads the independent Institute of Design Research Vienna (IDRV). He teaches design theory at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. His work in research, teaching, and design practice focuses on social and sustainable design.

Ronja Grossar is a design researcher and strategic designer with a focus on participatory methods and responsibility. She holds a degree in Industrial Design as well as a master in Creative Direction. Before she got part of the IDRV Team, she worked as research associate at the Fraunhofer CeRRI, the Center for Responsible Research and Innovation in Berlin.
Felix Reiterer

Felix Reiterer is a trained digital designer and design researcher with a degree in creative business processes from CBS Copenhagen. He is the Founder of felije, a studio for technology, design and experimental media. In his work he focuses on the intersection between design, art and science, to convey information in more engaging ways.
Julia Sauter

Julia (Lia) Sauter is an eco-social designer, researcher, and lecturer specializing in responsible design for human and more-than-human species. With a Master’s in Eco-Social Design from the Free University of Bolzano, she co-founded The Odds, a collective advocating for socially and ecologically just futures. At IDRV, she researches regenerative design principles (RDP).
Zhe Sun

Zhe Sun is a multidisciplinary design researcher. She holds a master’s degree in design history and theory, as well as a bachelor’s degree in industrial design from Tongji University. She is currently a visiting Ph.D. student at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her research focuses on defining an alternative framework for design collaboration in the context of the ecological crisis.
